Mayor Fenty’s “Buff and Scrub” Initiative
Takoma Educational Center

In response to Mayor Fenty’s “Buff and Scrub” Initiative, Kramer Consulting gathered 40 volunteers for Takoma Educational Center, to make needed repairs to the school. The scope of work was established by Dr. Mary Grant, the Principal of Takoma Educational Center. The Kramer Team repaired and replaced plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, patched drywall walls and ceilings, replaced acoustical ceiling tile and grid, installed VCT
flooring and vinyl base, caulked at exterior metal roofing, added metal toilet partitions, repaired and replaced wood flooring at the theater stage, and painted repaired walls and ceilings.

The following companies donated time and or money to this special cause: Kramer Consulting, Davis Construction, J.E. Richards, C.J. Coakley, Pierce Associates, David Nassif Associates, Flooring Solutions, Inc., Brien Miller Painting and Smith- Group.
